If you have passed your metric system test, you get to do an Exploration today. Explorations are short studies within a topic of your choosing, and include a report of your learning.
Your launch point today is: http://science.nationalgeographic.com/science/prehistoric-world.html You may explore anything you want, related to the topics on this page (geology, prehistoric life, fossils, dinosaurs, etc.). Your studies may take you away from this website, but please keep your study within the realm of geology and paleontology.
Your report can be either of the two following ideas:
1. On the left side of a sheet of paper, record the questions you want to find answers to, and on the right, record the activities or websites you visit, and the information you find. For example, you might wish to find out what kinds of plants lived during the time of the dinosaurs. Write this question on the left, and on the right, record what you learned, or where your questioning took you.
2. In paragraph form, summarize your activities and learning.
